After a 3-month onsite introductory period, employees may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week, pending approval from the Executive Director. All remote work arrangements must be flexible and cannot dictate or interfere with programming schedules, which are subject to change based on organizational needs. Hours per week 35 Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend meetings/events Classification Non-exempt General Description Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader for Community Education, the Parent Educator is responsible for coordinating all components of the parenting program, including parenting class schedules, media, outreach, data collection, and community events Responsibilities
  • Interface with community members, other organizations, or case managers regarding the parenting program.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate, and maintain a continuous parenting class schedule.
  • Facilitate presentations, outreach activities, and events with a parent/family focus.
  • Deliver on-site, in-person training.
  • Conduct evidence-based workshops.
  • Greet and attend to walk-in patrons with parenting related business/questions/concerns.
  • Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community agencies to promote parenting programs and resources.
  • Assess the effectiveness of programs and gather feedback from participants to continually improve offerings.
  • Proficient in using a database to track parenting program evaluations, attendance, certificates, and other relevant information.
  • Assist team leader and any fellow parent educators in program planning activities.
  • Complete required monthly internal/OASAS program data reporting.
  • Contribute to agency wide needs and initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience Experience implementing Evidence-Based Programs. Exceptional time management and prioritization skills. Culturally responsive, with the ability to effectively engage families from diverse backgrounds. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting professional correspondence, managing calendars and schedules, and creating flyers, brochures, and other materials. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Flexible schedule to meet program needs and deadline. Willingness to attend staff and program meetings. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local and in-state travel. Education Requirements
  • High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Pursuit of CPS/CPP or another credential recommended Maintenance of foundational training hours required.
Pay:
$42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
