  • Full-time Parents as Teachers (PAT) Coordinator FLSA Classification Exempt Reports to Executive Director Primary Contacts Families, PAT partners, Community and Business Leaders, OCDEL, Funders, CCC staff Job summary The PAT Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Executive Director to administer the Parents as Teachers program.
Responsibilities include overseeing home visits, group connections, supervising PAT staff, conducting reflective supervision sessions with Parent Educators, and completing required reports. Compliance with PAT essential requirements and guidelines. The position requires frequent travel throughout York and Adams Counties. The PAT Home Coordinator holds and demonstrates a strong belief in the mission and vision of the PAT program and all CCC programs. Summary of job responsibilities Implement the PAT curriculum and model with fidelity In collaboration with Parent Educators plan and implement monthly group connections for caregivers and families Supervise PAT staff. Conduct reflective supervision of Parent Educators. In collaboration with PAT Data Specialist, maintain and monitor all PAT data in Visit Track and state databases. Work with the Executive Director to implement long and short-range plans for the development of the PAT Program services. Evaluates the services provided by the PAT Program in relation to the specified goals and standards and makes recommendations for modifications to the Executive Director. Provides timely statistical, evaluative and activity reports on the Program, collecting and compiling data as requested. Works collaboratively with CCC staff, partners, Community Groups, and PAT partners Develops and/or maintains a supply of materials to assist the families. Attends and participates in agency and department staff meetings, Represents CCC at meetings and other identified state committees and workgroups. Attends seminars, trainings, and conferences as assigned. Regularly reports activities, successes, and challenges to Executive Director Represents CCC and its programs at community events. Promotes and supports the mission, values, and goals of CCC maintaining high performance standards. Core Competencies Ability to understand, analyze and make recommendations for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of PAT program. Ability to provide reflective supervision. Ability to budget. Attention to detail, organized, sense of humor, ability to work and produce within tight deadlines. Ability to understand, analyze, and make recommendations for systems improvements. Extensive knowledge of Human Services and Community Services, including Child Care Works, Early Intervention, Head/Early Start, Library System and others. Ability to work effectively and respectfully with a diverse population. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Understanding of confidentiality issues and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all working relationships. Ability to prioritize among competing demands effectively and appropriately. Ability to independently plan, organize, and complete assigned work correctly and professionally. Ability to foster team building and to work effectively in various roles on a team. Excellent communication skills, including telephone etiquette, listening skills, and the ability to respond sensitively and empathetically to the needs of others. Proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MSOffice preferred) Minimum qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field Supervisory experience preferred. Three years related experience in home visiting; experience with the Parent As Teachers Model, strongly preferred. Bi-Lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Summary of Essential Job Functions Knowledge of child development, family dynamics and community resources Ability to work collaboratively with families and community partners. Enter, manipulate, and retrieve data in Visit Tracker and other databases. Ability to interact courteously, effectively, and efficiently with clients, providers, vendors, and community members who conduct business at CCC. Ethical, trustworthy, and confidential with sensitive information for clients, providers, and the agency Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively with others including CCC staff, families, OCDEL, PAT State and National Offices ELRC, and community partners. Ability to handle caseload of families in a professional manner with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Valid PA Driver license, ability to travel independently, with a reliable form of transportation, throughout the service area. Normal physical demands associated with work in an office environment, including lifting, bending, and carrying. Work schedule
