Job Title:
Mechanic Summary:
Taylor's Spring, Brake & Alignment is seeking a skilled mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain suspension, brake, steering, and alignment systems on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. Taylor's shop focuses on alignment, suspension, brake service, PM service, and custom U-bolt bending for a wide range of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose steering, suspension, brake, and alignment problems. Perform wheel alignments and related front-end repairs. Inspect, repair, and replace brake, suspension, steering, and undercar components. Work on a variety of vehicles, including cars, pickup trucks, trailers, buses, and heavy-duty trucks. Use shop tools and alignment equipment safely and accurately. Communicate needed repairs clearly to service staff and customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have their own basic tools. Specialized tools will be provided. Previous automotive or heavy-duty mechanic experience preferred. Knowledge of brake, suspension, steering, and alignment systems. Ability to use diagnostic and shop equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. State Inspection License preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting. Ability to work in a shop environment around vehicles and equipment. Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks as needed.
Work Hours:
Mon - Fri 8-5
PM Hourly Wage Rate:
Based on experience.
