Position Type:
Full-Time, Grant-Based Job Summary The Program Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Valley Onward's programs to ensure they align with the organization's mission and goals. The position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Program Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between staff, community members, and external partners. Key Responsibilities Program Management
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day program activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Work collaboratively with program staff, partners, and community stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Track and report on program progress, including goals, outcomes, and participant feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with grant and funding requirements. Administrative Support
  • Maintain detailed records of program operations, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Assist with preparing program materials, presentations, and promotional content.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, meetings, and workshops, including venue arrangements, participant communication, and materials preparation. Outreach and Communication
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Promote programs through social media, newsletters, and community outreach activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for program participants and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Evaluation and Improvement
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies to enhance program delivery and impact. Qualifications Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or community engagement. Skills and Competencies
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingual proficiency is a plus).
  • Proficiency in using technology, including Google Workspace, project management software (e.g., Monday.com), and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting is preferred. Personal Attributes

  • Primarily work from home based with occasional travel to community sites and events.
  • May require evening or weekend availability based on program needs.
Grant-Based Employment:
This position is grant funded and the position is contingent upon the availability of grant funds. If the grant funding is reduced or becomes unavailable, Valley Onward reserves the right to reduce work hours, reassign, or terminate employment.
