Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Outreach for the Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety in the Office of Research, the Project Policy Analyst (PPA4) provides skilled high-level strategic leadership, technical leadership, and program oversight for the Center and its affiliated programs. The PPA4 will play a critical role in advancing WCAHS's position and influence in the Western region (CA, AZ, NV, HI) as the leader in agricultural health and safety. They will design and oversee new programs and projects that have a broad impact across the region. They will identify, establish, and maintain collaborative partnerships with regional community organizations, employer associations, and state agencies to expand impact and create new program funding opportunities. The PPA4 will conduct in-depth evaluations of programs and projects to identify opportunities and resolve issues to increase programmatic impact. The PPA4 will serve as a recognized expert, providing high-level consultation to department administrators and external stakeholders, including state agencies, regarding community engagement trends and best practices. They will also serve as a subject matter expert on agricultural health and safety topics; develop and lead trainings and workshops; develop educational resources. They will lead the Campo Seguro website implementation, dissemination, and growth to prioritize linguistic equity and cultural accessibility. The PPA4 will provide program oversight, ensuring that programmatic objectives are met. They will report project progress to center and campus leadership, including identifying new opportunities for collaboration. The PPA4 will facilitate the incorporation of community engagement in center research projects. They will also serve as lead to WCAHS outreach staff and conduct trainings on community engagement best practices and technical topics. - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Five years of experience implementing statewide initiatives, managing complex multi-partner programs, and reporting results in a fast-paced environment with diverse project teams and on multiple and simultaneous complex assignments, some of which may be unfamiliar or ambiguous where no clear guidelines exist.
