Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) - Program Oversight & Documentation TSOVA Newport News, VA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $24 - $29 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Disability support services Working with individuals with developmental disabilities QIDP Certification Working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Writing skills Driver's License Bachelor's degree Counseling Psychology Human Services Social Work Special Education Working with individuals with intellectual disabilities Disability services Full Job Description Job Summary TSOVA is seeking a Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) to support the oversight, coordination, and quality monitoring of Developmental Disability Waiver services. This position combines traditional QDDP responsibilities with program oversight and documentation review responsibilities across multiple Developmental Disability Waiver programs. The QDDP will play a key role in ensuring services remain person-centered, compliant, and aligned with each individual's assessed needs and goals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable reviewing documentation, and knowledgeable about Virginia's Developmental Disability Waiver system. Responsibilities Program Oversight and Documentation Develop, review, and revise Individual Support Plans (ISPs) Complete Part V plans and supporting documentation Conduct assessments and service reviews Complete quarterly reports and annual plan updates Review progress notes for quality, accuracy, and compliance Ensure documentation supports authorized services and identified needs Monitor implementation of person-centered goals and outcomes Service Coordination Attend ISP meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings Participate in annual planning meetings and quarterly reviews Coordinate with Support Coordinators, families, guardians, and service providers Assist with identifying service needs and recommending revisions when appropriate Quality Assurance and Compliance Support quality assurance activities Participate in risk management and quality improvement efforts Ensure documentation and service delivery remain compliant with DBHDS and DMAS requirements Identify documentation deficiencies and provide corrective guidance In-Home Supports Oversight For individuals receiving In-Home Supports through TSOVA, the QDDP will: Supervise assigned Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Provide and document required staff supervision Monitor service implementation and documentation quality Ensure services are delivered according to ISP requirements and agency policies Professional Collaboration Participate in peer supervision activities Collaborate with the Clinical Director regarding service quality and compliance Contribute to ongoing program development and improvement initiatives Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, Counseling, Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related human services field Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Ability to meet Virginia QDDP qualification requirements Strong written communication and documentation skills Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Preferred Previous QDDP experience Experience writing ISPs and Part V plans Knowledge of Virginia DD Waiver services Familiarity with DBHDS licensing requirements Familiarity with DMAS regulations Experience conducting documentation reviews or quality assurance activities Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is: Detail-oriented and highly organized Comfortable reviewing documentation and identifying compliance concerns Skilled in person-centered planning Able to work independently Professional in communication with families, support coordinators, and providers Committed to high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement
