Job Description
Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Qualitative Testing Program Manager owns the end-to-end qualitative copy testing program for Content Development team. This role sits at the intersection of research operations, content quality, and cross-functional collaboration — ensuring that writers, editors, and key stakeholders have the insights they need to produce content that is clear, resonant, and effective for enterprise audiences. This is not a writing or editing role. It is a program management and research operations role that requires a strong understanding of qualitative research methodology, content strategy, and the ability to operate with precision and efficiency in a high-volume, process-driven environment. ________________________________________TOP 3 MUST-HAVE SKILLS
- Qualitative research program management: Proven ability to build, manage, and scale a qualitative content testing program — including workflows, templates, documentation, and reporting structures — that enables consistent, repeatable, and high-quality research at volume.
- Operational discipline and process ownership: Ability to manage end-to-end program operations including intake, quality control, test approval, post-test analysis review, and documentation — all within a 3-business-day SLA from intake to test launch.
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication: Skilled at partnering with writers, editors, and cross-functional stakeholders to scope studies, design test plans, and deliver clear, actionable findings that inform content decisions.
BRIEF ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Qualitative Testing Program Manager manages the full lifecycle of qualitative copy testing program. This includes developing and maintaining the program in partnership with a qualitative testing platform, onboarding new test creators, reviewing and approving all tests before launch to ensure quality control, and reviewing all post-test analyses. The program manager coordinates with writing and editing leads on more complex tests and maintains comprehensive documentation for the program. In addition, the program manager identifies best-in-class tests to present as enablement sessions to writers, editors, and other key stakeholders. The role operates against a 3-business-day SLA from initial intake to test launch. ________________________________________KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT MAKES CANDIDATES SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
Based on the profile of the current program manager and the demands of the engagement, successful candidates in this role share the following characteristics:- Research operations depth: They've built or significantly scaled a qualitative research program — not just participated in one. They understand the difference between running a single test and running a program, and they've designed the infrastructure that makes a program repeatable and scalable.
- Process and documentation discipline: They create order out of complexity. They build workflows, templates, and documentation that people actually use — not bureaucratic systems that slow things down. They understand that good documentation is what makes a program survive beyond any single person.
- Content and editorial fluency: They understand how content works — what makes copy clear, resonant, and effective for enterprise audiences. They don't need to be writers or editors, but they need to speak the language fluently enough to collaborate with writers and editors as peers.
- Stakeholder management and communication: They're comfortable working across functions — writers, editors, product marketing, leadership — and they know how to translate research findings into language that drives decisions rather than just informing them.
- Calm under pressure: High-volume, fast-moving environments don't rattle them. They're unflappable when priorities shift, timelines compress, or stakeholders push back. They bring steadiness to situations that would stress others out.
- Microsoft or content ecosystem experience: Candidates who have worked in large enterprise content environments — particularly Microsoft— ramp up significantly faster because they understand the scale, complexity, and stakeholder dynamics involved.
