Job Description

About the Role Melbourne is one of Australia's fastest-growing hubs for infrastructure, technology, and transformation programs—and at SPRPM Project Management Group , we bring structure, clarity, and delivery excellence to every initiative we lead. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager (m/f/x) who can take full ownership of complex, multi-stream programs. This is not a coordination role—you will be responsible for shaping delivery strategy, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring successful outcomes across high-value initiatives. You will act as the central leader connecting business objectives with execution reality. From governance to delivery oversight, you ensure programs stay on track, risks are managed early, and outcomes are achieved with confidence. You are the person executives rely on when delivery matters most. Why Work With Us?
High-Impact Work:
You will lead significant programs that directly influence business performance, operational improvement, and long-term strategy.
Leadership Visibility:
You work closely with senior executives and decision-makers. Your voice is part of strategic conversations, not just delivery updates. Delivery Culture (Not Bureaucracy): We value structure, but we don't drown in process. You'll have the autonomy to shape how programs are delivered.
Hybrid Flexibility:
We support modern working arrangements that balance collaboration and flexibility.
Career Growth:
Clear progression opportunities into Portfolio Management, PMO leadership, or Program Director roles.
Key Responsibilities Program Leadership:
Own end-to-end delivery of large, complex programs across multiple workstreams.
Governance & Strategy:
Define program structure, governance frameworks, milestones, and success metrics aligned to business objectives.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage and influence senior stakeholders, executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.
Financial & Resource Oversight:
Manage budgets, forecasts, resourcing plans, and delivery dependencies across multiple projects.
Risk & Issue Management:
Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect timelines and outcomes.
Team Coordination:
Guide and support Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure consistent execution across the program.
Reporting & Communication:
Provide clear, concise, and structured updates to executive leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.
What We Are Looking For Experience:
8+ years in Project/Program Delivery roles, including significant experience as a Senior Program Manager, Program Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
Program Complexity:
Proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-million-dollar programs across IT, infrastructure, government, utilities, or enterprise transformation environments.
Leadership Capability:
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Delivery Expertise:
Strong understanding of program governance, dependency management, and structured delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments).
Communication Skills:
Ability to translate complex delivery issues into clear, executive-ready messaging.
Mindset:
You are calm under pressure, structured in your thinking, and focused on outcomes rather than process for its own sake.
Pay:
$13,300.00 - $16,500.00 per month
Benefits:
Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off
Work Location:
Hybrid remote in Sydney, ND
