SNAP E&T
Program was established in response to Public Act 08-161 which enables cities and towns to participate in SNAP E&T, a federally funded program for food stamp recipients looking for regular employment or an increase in wages through short- term vocational training. The mission of
SNAP E&T
is to maximize the financial resources available for providing a wide range of employment and training (E&T) activities that reduce poverty or the risk of poverty to individuals and families living in the Windham County area and to leverage existing financial resources through this 50-100% cost reimbursement program. The
SNAP E&T
Coordinator is a grant funded position. The coordinator functions as the grant administrator for the CT State Quinebaug Valley Campus SNAP E&T and is the primary liaison between the campus and its community partners. The Coordinator will support all recruitment, retention and certificate completion activities of SNAP participants and billing responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, the

Coordinator is accountable for contributing to the successful operation of the
SNAP E&T
Program through effective performance in the following essential functional areas: Key responsibilities include:

Collaborative program promotion, development, and administration; Communicating with
SNAP E&T
Community Partners; Coordination of academic assistance and student support services/Case management. Outcomes measurement, tracking, reporting, and invoicing. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an appropriately related field together with one (1) or more years of related experience; or a combination of education, training and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position's essential duties.
