Primary Purpose Serve as the advisor to the Associated Students of Central Oregon Community College ( ASCOCC ), provide event and logistics support for Bobcat Orientation, coordinate College and campus-wide student activities and events, and develop and execute ideas for new retention and completion strategies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Advising Provide administrative and advisory oversight for ASCOCC , including fiscal review, payroll coordination, and policy compliance; manage the planning and evaluation of annual student leadership training and the leadership development course in collaboration with the Student Engagement team. Event Planning and Partnerships Provide event support and coordinate logistics for Bobcat Orientation ( BCO ), COCC's new student orientation program. Primary areas of responsibility include RSVP process, facilities, check-in, IT and other logistics coordination; recruit faculty and staff volunteers; and assist with faculty and staff facilitator and volunteer training. Maintain a permanent role on the Bobcat Orientation Logistics Team, coordinating logistics and operational execution for all new student orientations each term and providing leadership in the Director's absence to sustain program continuity and operational standards. Maintain an ongoing role on the Bobcat Orientation Advisory Team, contributing to the review and update of orientation content each academic term to ensure alignment with assessed student needs, national best practices, and contemporary content. Assume advisory and operational leadership in the Director's absence to ensure continuity of operations. Collaborate with the eight faculty-lead orientation teams to help plan and execute pathway-specific orientations. Serve as a backup presenter as needed. Coordinate quarterly Welcome Week and Stress-Free Finals programming on all four campuses. Plan and execute one or more large-scale College event(s) each quarter, with a minimum of two to three several smaller events or activities each month including, but not limited to Constitution Day, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Asian/Pacific Islander Festival, and drug and alcohol and other awareness programs and events. In partnership with the Campus Directors, coordinate regular events for the Redmond, Madras, and Prineville campuses. Partner with other campus departments on shared activities. Partner with Guided Pathways work groups to support development of student engagement-related activities.
