Brief Job Description :
NAFI RI is currently seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our Enhanced Outpatient Services (EOS) program. EOS provides home and community-based services to families of children experiencing behavioral challenges, meeting them where they are to create meaningful and lasting change. Services are delivered in the environments where families face difficulties, enabling real-time support and skill-building. We utilize a highly structured, evidence-based model with a strengths-based, team-oriented approach. This framework supports clinicians in working effectively across a wide range of diagnoses and diverse family dynamics.Responsibilities Include :
This role includes a caseload of approximately 5-10 families and requires a flexible schedule, including potential early mornings, evenings, and weekends Coordinates treatment planning and oversees plan implementation Provides counseling, guidance, and support to assigned clients as indicated by the treatment plan / individual service plan Coordinates and conducts home visits with clients and families as required by contract and program policy Assesses and advocates for clients' needs within the program as well as with external agencies and resources, as appropriate Coordinates facilitate client and family transition between levels of care, and services when appropriate Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis as assigned/required by program contract/policy Maintains professional boundaries with clients, families, employees, stakeholders, and others at all times Completes and maintains documentation of treatment and services for clients in keeping with licensing/funding source and agency requirements Participates in staff training, maintains certifications as appropriate and required, and demonstrates the ability to pass proficiency test(s) as required by program contract agency policy Provides safe transportation for clients as necessary Performs crisis prevention and interventions, including de-escalation techniques and/or physical management, as needed and allowed by contract and program/agency policy Demonstrates computer literacy by utilizing Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Electronic Health Records, Email, and other web-based platforms Completes other related duties as assigned Performs all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and proceduresOur Exceptional Benefits :

1-2 years of experience in human services, healthcare, or social work Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field Experience working with children and families with behavioral or mental health challenges Professional working proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese (strongly preferred) Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally Commitment to trauma-informed care and maintaining professional boundaries Experience with home- and community-based services a plusSalary :
