Job Description

Job Summary The Senior Consultant serves as the primary strategic advisor for assigned clients, responsible for aligning technology to business goals and ensuring clients realize measurable value from their IT investment. This role is client-facing and operates at the intersection of business strategy, technology advisory, and client success. The Senior Consultant works closely with executive stakeholders to develop technology roadmaps, guide decision making, and drive progress across security, operational maturity, and overall IT effectiveness. In addition to strategy, this role owns overall client success including satisfaction, engagement, and long-term retention. The Senior Consultant ensures clients clearly understand the value of services delivered, see consistent progress against agreed plans, and have confidence in their technology direction. They act as an advocate Success in this role is defined by strong client relationships, visible value delivery, consistent roadmap execution, improved client environments, and long-term client retention and growth. Responsibilities Serve as the primary strategic advisor and point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of their business, goals, and technology landscape Own overall client success, including client satisfaction, engagement, and long-term retention Ensure clients consistently realize value from services provided by aligning technology initiatives to business outcomes Establish regular touch points with each client to review progress on incident reports, status changes, agreed outages, action items, projects, open opportunities, problem areas, and other changes. Proactively measure and communicate value delivered, helping clients understand progress, impact, and return on investment Build and sustain trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, ensuring a consistent and high-quality client experience Lead regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions, connecting technology performance to business outcomes Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps aligned to client goals, budgets, and risk tolerance Guide clients through budgeting and investment decisions, ensuring alignment between priorities and spend Assess client environments against best practice standards, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement Provide proactive recommendations to enhance security, performance, scalability, and operational maturity Ensure clients are progressing against agreed plans, adjusting strategies as business needs evolve Translate business needs into clear technology strategies, initiatives, and solutions Develop scopes of work, proposals, and supporting documentation aligned to client objectives Present recommendations and solutions in clear, business-focused language for executive audiences Drive client retention and growth by ensuring ongoing value realization and alignment to business outcomes Identify opportunities where clients would benefit from additional services through advisory conversations Monitor client health and engagement, taking proactive action to address risks or concerns Partner with service delivery and engineering teams to ensure successful execution of client initiatives Advocate internally for client priorities and ensure alignment across teams Maintain current knowledge of technology trends, best practices, and service offerings Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain relevant certifications Support the sales process as a technical advisor when needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in IT with sales engineering, managed services, or a client-facing advisory role Experience working directly with executive-level stakeholders Strong background in technology strategy, consulting, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions Skills Effective communication skills to present findings clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels. $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
