Job Description
Monday-Friday 8a-4p Full Time 40 hours Pay Rate $22.50/hr

Position Summary The Adult Day Services Coordinator oversees daily operations within assigned Day Services programs at Unity Bay. This role ensures the development, implementation, and quality of programming that supports individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with Day Treatment Plans and agency expectations. Essential Responsibilities & Duties Professionalism & Conduct Maintain professional behavior and follow agency mission, policies, and procedures Treat individuals and coworkers with dignity and respect at all times Support Individuals to Achieve Personal Outcomes and a High Quality of Life Oversee daily operations of assigned program areas to ensure all services and activities are implemented in alignment with each individual's Day Treatment Plan Supervise Habilitative Support Professionals (HSP), including involvement in recruitment, conducting performance evaluations, approving leave requests, and recommending terminations when necessary. Develop and manage Day Treatment Plans, ensuring training objectives and goals are individualized and adjusted as needed to support personal progress, skill development, and increased independence. Coordinate and deliver staff development to ensure employees are well-informed about Day Treatment Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and agency procedures, promoting high-quality, consistent care Monitor supervision and accountability by verifying accurate daily attendance records and ensuring staff maintain appropriate supervision and documentation in accordance with each individual's plan and BSP Promote an environment that is free from abuse and neglect, respecting the rights and dignity of individuals and coworkers Health & Safety Support Maintain a safe environment by providing safety training, conducting regular inspections, enforcing agency safety policies, and completing and documenting fire drills and safety-related activities. Use positive behavior support techniques and implement Behavior Support Plans (as applicable) to manage and de-escalate challenging situations Support prescribed diets, adaptive equipment use, and safety drills Follow proper lifting and mobility assistance techniques Documentation & Communication Complete accurate documentation in Therap and other required forms (e.g., T-Logs, GERs, ISP data) Ensure compliance with licensing, standards, and internal quality assurance through consistent programing, accurate documentation, and preparation for inspections and reviews. Maintain confidentiality and protect agency-issued credentials Transportation & Community Engagement Coordinate transportation for program related services and activities Operate agency vehicles, wheelchair lifts, and restraints as trained Follow agency transportation and safety protocols Medication Administer medications and treatments per agency policy Review, complete and/or support completion of Medication Administration Records (MARs) Oversee medication room to ensure alignment with standards, directives, and agency policy Additional Duties Report maintenance or repair needs Attend meetings and complete ongoing training as required Perform related duties as assigned to support the agency's mission and operational needs Work Activity Program Duties Monitor and verify the completion of consumer time and production records to ensure accurate wage calculation in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor, OIDD, standards, and directives Ensure work quality to meet or exceed customers specifications Maintain and submit accurate billing records for completed work to the finance department promptly Support Licensing and Quality Assurance reviews by ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available Physical Demands and Working Conditions Lift up to 50 lbs; assist with adult transfers as needed Frequent movement: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting Work indoors and outdoors in varied environments Possible exposure to communicable diseases and physical aggression Use of safety equipment (gloves, eye/ear protection) may be required May be assigned to alternate locations or shifts Must operate agency vehicles safely, including at night Performance Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Clear written and verbal English communication Ability to follow directions and work independently Positive interpersonal skills and time management Good judgment and accountability Education & Experience Associates Degree from an accredited college in Human Services, Social Services, or Management Three years working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred) License Valid South Carolina Driver's License and acceptable driving record required Essential Personnel Notice This position is classified as Essential. In the event of emergencies, natural disasters, or other urgent circumstances, ADCs and DSPs may be required to report to work to ensure the health and safety of individuals receiving services.Similar remote jobs
