Working for member programs; Provide training and technical assistance as requested by member programs; Policy national, tribal and state with emphasis on Native Women. Responsible for media, written materials and products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical assistance and training to Coalition programs with major emphasis on programs serving Native Women; develop working relationships with new member programs; provide/develop needs assessment with programs specific to what they need to do their work. Supervise Training/ Contract personnel. Monitor and participate in reauthorization of VAWA . Provide technical assistance and training to member programs of the Coalition through phone, mail, or onsite, as requested by the program. Coordinate such training to accomplish the greatest good for several programs at once, if such coordination/location is possible. Coordinate state-wide. Monitor tribal, state and national legislation relating to domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of violence against women, especially as it pertains to Native women. Work jointly with Administrative Co-Director to provide analysis and recommendation to the Board of Directors on the impact of institutional, state and federal policies as they affect women and children. Act as a spokesperson jointly with Co-Director and assist in coordination of statewide media campaigns, press releases, etc. Develop, new and/or up-date, edit existing materials before released or printed. Approve materials (with Administrative Co-Director and Executive Board, as appropriate) Coordinate the production of the Coalition newsletter, and Spark magazine, including writing as needed, Social media, Assist in up-dating Membership Handbook, operational procedures, Personnel and Finance policies as needed. Develop Project Budget and assist in strategic planning and grant writing and reportingStaff Task Forces and committees as assigned. Work with Co-Director, and Co-Chairs to share information and coordinate activities as relates to the Coalition. Information sharing includes regular communication with member programs, aud particularly with native programs regarding Coalition activities. Attend local, state, tribal, regional and national meetings as requested and required by grants. Must be cross-trained with the Administrator duties. Perform other duties as assigned by the Co-Chair, their supervisor with input from the E-board.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be knowledgeable about advocacy, Native culture, the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence, violence against women and the connection to other forms of oppression; proven leadership; familiarity with grant writing and grant management; experience in developing and promoting institutional policy change, familiarity with the legislative process; excellent verbal and written skills; ability to address controversial issues as they arise; good organizational and computer skills; demonstrated initiative.
Pay:
$55,680.49 - $67,056.07 per year
