Non-Exempt Essential Functions The Data, Compliance & Outreach Lead is responsible for supporting the TRIO Talent Search program through accurate recordkeeping, participant tracking, compliance support, and outreach coordination. This position helps maintain student files, monitor required documentation, track services and outcomes, and assist with recruitment and school-based communication efforts. The Lead plays an important role in ensuring that the program maintains organized, complete, and audit-ready records while also supporting outreach activities that promote participant recruitment, engagement, and retention. Job Duties and Responsibilities Maintain participant files and records, including eligibility documentation, service logs, consent forms, academic records, and follow-up information. Enter, organize, and monitor program data in spreadsheets, databases, and tracking systems. Review records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program requirements. Track participant services, milestones, and outcomes in support of annual reporting and program objectives. Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal reviews, audits, monitoring visits, and annual performance reporting. Support compliance efforts by maintaining organized and audit-ready files. Assist with the development and maintenance of tracking tools, spreadsheets, rosters, and reporting forms. Coordinate outreach and recruitment activities with target schools, students, parents, and community partners. Prepare outreach materials, communication templates, event documents, and informational resources. Assist with scheduling school visits, workshops, family events, and recruitment presentations. Collect and organize academic, enrollment, and student progress information from schools and participants. Maintain communication logs, event records, calendars, and outreach documentation. Identify missing records or data discrepancies and follow up with staff to resolve them. Support former participant follow-up related to college enrollment and persistence tracking. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the TRIO Talent Search program.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in education, business, public administration, social sciences, information systems, human services, or a related field. One year of experience in data entry, records management, office coordination, compliance support, outreach, student services, or a related area. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience using spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Office, or similar reporting tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle student records responsibly. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to target schools and program events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience working in a TRIO program, grant-funded program, or educational support setting. Knowledge of student records, compliance documentation, or program reporting processes. Experience with outreach, recruitment, or school/community partnerships. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish. Experience using student tracking systems or CRM platforms.
Supplemental Information Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be required.
Environment:
Work is generally performed in an office setting with frequent interruptions and changes in the workflow/volume in target schools and/or community locations. May require outdoor labor for program events.
