High School Diploma or equivalent. At least one (1) year of full-time experience in child-development, child-care programs, customer service or social work. One full year of clerical experience including data entry and maintenance of records. Experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all stakeholders. Must be legally authorized to work in US/TX. Position subject to successful completion of background checks.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Repetitive use of hands for reaching, handling, and turning. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; includes light lifting of supplies and materials. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to twist, turn, kneel, bend, and stoop as needed.
Job Summary:
The Program Support Specialist provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of client services and program functions This role is responsible for maintaining accurate client and provider records, preparing and processing paperwork, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and assisting with scheduling and orientation activities. The specialist also supports program staff by preparing required materials, directing calls, and serving as back-up switchboard operator. With strong attention to detail and organization skills, the Program Support Specialist plays a key role in maintaining efficient workflows and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain paperwork required by client services through accurate and timely preparation, copying, filing, and tracking. Type correspondence, reports, forms, and labels, etc. Maintain client and provider files. Sort and distribute incoming mail. Post outgoing mail as assigned. Serve as back-up switchboard operator. Prepare packets of required forms for self-arranged orientation. Make appointments for orientation. Direct calls as needed in Program Support area. Participate in training and development programs to enhance service delivery. Other related duties as assigned.
