Exempt Scope of Job:
To perform advanced program administration, development and coordination for the Office of Curriculum and Institutional Assessment. Responsible for all phases of program development and coordination of program activities.
Description of Duties:
Administers, coordinates and manages activities involved in assigned program or projects. Manages, maintains, and monitors the university's academic program review (APR) activities to ensure compliance with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board policies and other regulatory standards. Responsible for administering the day-to-day implementation of the university's APR process for all academic programs that are not accredited (including across all academic colleges and the school of medicine). Coordinates communication and logistics with external reviewers, including scheduling, documentation access, and site visit support. Develops and monitors APR timelines and milestones to ensure timely completion of multiple concurrent program reviews. Works directly with the academic units and programs undergoing review to assist with preparations for the review process and monitoring of progress throughout the review cycle. Assists and monitors the collection of APR data and institutional documents required for supporting evidence of compliance with THECB regulations. Assists with the development, writing, editing, and formatting of APR self‑study reports. Leverages advanced internal and external technical platforms to support report development and submission. Manages the dissemination of APR self-study reports and supporting documentation to internal stakeholders and solicits feedback in a systematic manner. Manages procurement activities related to APR including administering compensation for reviewers, administering reimbursements, purchasing, lodging, and obtaining supplies and marketing materials. Oversees departmental purchasing, expenditure tracking and documentation, management of departmental assets, and coordination of department‑hosted events, leadership scheduling, and travel. Develops and implements standards for attainment of program goals and objectives. Maintains frequent interaction with University departments, special groups and external agencies in administering the program. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities. Coordinates faculty and staff training and development. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance. Determines work priorities. Works on special projects as assigned by the Vice Provost for Curriculum and Institutional Assessment and the Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Assessment and Program Review. Attends professional development seminars. Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited University.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited University.
Licenses/Certifications:
None.
Required Experience:
Five (5) years of experience performing closely related duties, including program planning/coordination or related experience in the appropriate field of the program, or Three (3) years of the required experience with a Master's degree, or Seven (7) years of the required experience with an Associate Degree or 60 hours of College Credit, or Nine (9) years of the required experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in technical or other report writing. Experience with tracking, monitoring, and organizing information using Microsoft Excel or other platforms. Experience using and interpreting institutional data.
Equipment:
Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment.
Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office environment; some travel and weekend work is required. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
