Responsibilities include supervising, managing, and leading a group of specialists and assistants who respond to EEO and Accountability Board complaints, FAA Administror Hotlines, Congressional inquiries, Freedom of Informion Act requests; Performance Management; Awards; Directives Management, CASTLE, and other administrive programs. Duties typically affect managers and employees for more than one organizional unit/project/program and include stregic planning; communicing the organizion's vision and objectives; setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluing the performance of organizional units, managers, and employees; coaching and developing staff and organizional capabilities; approving leave; and taking or approving corrective/disciplinary actions as approprie. Researches, prepare and presents reports and briefings to senior-level managers on assigned programs. Supplies background informion, analysis, and recommendions to ATO management on current and proposed policies and regulions regarding assigned programs. Provides expert advice and guidance both internally and externally to address diverse issues, often across multiple programs and/or functional areas. Makes recommendions or implements decisions th may impact or change policies, processes, or programs. Defines, acquires, and alloces budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives for multiple organizional units/projects/programs and across multiple functions and/or disciplines. Manages budget and either realloces resources among organizional units/projects/programs or acquires additional resources as needed. Leads and integres the budget planning processes for all organizional units/projects/programs under his/her control, and projects both short-term and long-term future needs. Participes in planning efforts th cross-organizional lines within the major subdivision and LOB/SO. Applies a detailed knowledge of technical and administrive policies and procedures and a comprehensive understanding of the objectives of ATO and the FAA. Works closely with the ATO staff to ensure continuous improvement(s) of internal processes and procedures. Ensures all projects/programs align with the stregic (short-term and long-term) goals and objectives of ATO. Anticipes and quickly adapts to changing management needs. Also applies a thorough understanding of management and stregic planning principles and the ability to integre the work of multiple organizional units/projects/programs to accomplish mission objectives.
