What You'll Do Coordinate all aspects of EMS employee training, orientation, and continuing education Manage and support the Field Training Officer (FTO) program Develop training curriculum, manuals, and competency programs with Medical Director and Chief approval Track certifications, course completions, and renewal requirements Design and deliver training related to protocols, equipment, and operational updates Maintain training records, audit files, and monthly training metrics Coordinate student ride-outs, school affiliations, and preceptor assignments Develop and maintain FTO policies, manuals, evaluations, and release processes Collaborate with Quality, Logistics, Human Resources, and operational leadership Represent GAAA at educational meetings, industry organizations, and community events Assist with disaster preparedness activities and support emergency operations as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Minimum one (1) year of experience as an EMT or Paramedic and one (1) year in a training, precepting, or educational role Texas Paramedic certification (or higher) in good standing with DSHS Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS (or PEPP) required or obtained within six months of hire Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record Associate's or Bachelor's degree in EMS, Fire Science, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred EVOC or CEVO certification preferred or obtained within six months of hire Instructor certifications (AHA, NAEMT, Stop the Bleed, etc.) preferred Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), WhentoWork (W2W), and tracking/reporting tools preferred Strong communication, organization, and computer skills Must meet immunization, background check, and drug screening requirements Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Combination of office work and field activities with periods of sitting, standing, bending, and lifting Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing operational priorities Availability to work evenings, weekends, and disaster-related assignments as needed Must maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Ability to support emergency preparedness activities and training initiatives across the organization
