Job Description

•GRANBURY ISD requires three references from former employers, college professors, supervisors, etc. with at least a minimum of two references being from previous supervisors. Granbury ISD will not accept references from friends or family members.•
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide training, consultation and support to campus administrators, teachers, and staff to facilitate implementation of district wide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate Master's Degree Supervisor's/Administrator's Certification Preferred Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of Texas Essential Skills and Knowledge (TEKS) and 21st Century Skills Knowledge of interpretation of test scores and data Knowledge of effective teaching practices Knowledge of human development and learning theories Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Applicable knowledge of adult learners
Experience:
Five to seven years of educational experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Instructional Management 1.1 Assists campus through observation, feedback, modeling, and interpreting data to facilitate fidelity of district wide implementation of MTSS for both academic and behavioral support systems 1.2 Support campus in using student data/evidence to identify progress monitoring tools in order to develop high quality intervention plans 1.3 Frequently monitor the effectiveness of intervention plans and provide coaching/feedback as needed 1.4 Promote collaborative team processes and participate in campus PLC process 1.5 Track, collect and analyze school data, including subgroups, for campus and district level reporting. 1.6 Encourages and supports the development, organization and implementation of innovative, evidence-based intervention practices to achieve identified needs of student growth and performance. 1.7 Assists teachers with the development and implementation of flexible grouping and intervention strategies for all types of learners. 2. School/Organizational Climate 2.1 Provides for effective two-way communication with administrators, teachers and staff regarding student performance and staff growth. 2.2 Ensures that campus goals and objectives are developed with the involvement of principals, teachers, parents and/or students, when appropriate. 2.3 Demonstrates skill in conflict resolution with administrators, teachers and/or staff. 3. School/Organizational Improvement 3.1 Monitors school improvement or program activities that are unique to student performance and growth 3.2 Monitors classroom improvement or program activities that increase student performance and growth 3.3 Demonstrates appropriate use of student achievement data in interpreting, reporting and acting on results that improve achievement 4. Personnel Management 4.1 Demonstrates skill in "coaching" staff, provides technical assistance to campus admin, teachers, staff concerning the MTSS plan and process, and encourages improved performance and growth. 4.2 Makes regular classroom visits; confers with assigned staff to discuss performance; jointly develops improvement objectives to assist staff in identifying professional growth opportunities that support the professional learning needs of teachers and principals. 5. Administrative and Fiscal/Facilities Management 5.1 Implements the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy that impact student performance and growth 5.2 Demonstrates fiscal responsibility for assigned program budgets, when applicable. 6. Student Management 6.1 Supports pupil/personnel services as related to the teaching/learning process that support student performance and growth 6.2 Supports district and campus rules for conduct. 7. Professional Growth and Development 7.1 Utilizes information provided through formal and informal assessment data and a professional growth plan to improve professional skills and knowledge. 7.2 Participates in professional development programs/organizations, disseminates ideas and information to other professionals, and provides leadership in identifying trends, opportunities, and problems facing the issues that students encounter 8. School/Community Relations 8.1 Demonstrates a commitment to district initiatives. 8.2 Communicates district curriculum, intervention/instructional practices, accomplishments, goals, and new directions to teachers and staff that supports student performance and growth. 9. Other 9.1 Other duties as assigned
