Generous paid time off Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision) Company-sponsored 401 (k) plan Who We Want The eMPower Program Coordinator serves as the lead facilitator and day-to-day coordinator for a specialized classroom designed to support HIPsters with higher levels of need, including those with complex medical considerations, and/or age-related cognitive changes such as dementia. This role is responsible for creating a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment that prioritizes dignity, consistency, and individualized support. The Coordinator leads classroom staff, models best practices, and ensures that programming aligns with My Possibilities' mission and standards of excellence. Through working directly with the program manager, you are giving opportunities to this often-overlooked population to experience joy in their adulthood. You are the orchestrator of creating engaging education for our HIPsters. HIPsters first in all decision-making, strong communication skills to HIPsters and staff, as well as a desire for fun will make you a great fit for this role. Essential Functions Program Leadership & Implementation Lead daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, structured, and engaging environment for all HIPsters Implement and adapt curriculum aligned with Life Long Learning principles while incorporating best practices for individuals with complex needs and cognitive decline Facilitate meaningful, person-centered activities that promote engagement, independence, and quality of life Ensure consistency in daily routines, transitions, and instructional delivery Staff Leadership & Support Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to classroom staff Model best practices in communication, behavior support, and engagement strategies Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented classroom culture Support training and onboarding of new staff within the classroom HIPster Support & Oversight Ensure individualized supports are implemented consistently, including behavioral, communication, and medical-related needs as appropriate Monitor HIPster engagement, progress, and overall well-being, making adjustments as needed Drive and/or accompany HIPsters in the community for Community Based Instruction Provide direct support to HIPsters based on individualized needs, including behavioral, communication, mobility, personal care, and medical needs as appropriate. Collaboration & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related communication Partner closely with the Senior Director of Continuing Education, Clinical Services, and other departments to ensure alignment of supports Communicate effectively with families/caregivers as appropriate, providing updates and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy Compliance & Documentation Ensure adherence to all HHSC, ISS, and organizational policies and procedures Maintain accurate documentation related to attendance, incidents, and required reporting Support implementation of safety protocols and emergency procedures Program Development Provide feedback on curriculum, classroom structure, and program enhancements Support continuous improvement efforts to ensure the program meets the evolving needs of HIPsters Competencies (Knowledge, skills and abilities): Experience working with adults with special needs Must have experience in using Microsoft applications and Google Drive Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (sign language a plus)
Education:
Bachelor's degree or
Equivalent Experience Experience:
At least 1 year of working with individuals with special needs Leadership experience Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc . Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and valid car insurance required. Working conditions Sit, stand, and bend throughout the day Occasionally lift up to 75lbs.
