Job Description

Essential Functions:
(A) Qualifications (1) High school diploma or G.E.D. (2) Able to work on a part-time basis. (3) Able to clear a criminal background check. (B) Prerequisite Skills (1) Ability to exercise responsibility without direct supervision. (2) Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment. (3) Ability to get along well with colleagues and promote teamwork. (4) Ability to communicate well with community representatives. (5) Professional demeanor and appearance. (6) Discretion and the ability to maintain confidences. (C) Primary Functions Supervise offenders in the community ordered to work community service by the courts at various projects (ex: cleaning roadside, maintain historical cemeteries, etc.). (D) Duties and Responsibilities This employee, under the direct supervision of the Community Service Restitution Program Coordinator, has the following duties and responsibilities: (1) Supervise CSR workers the days as assigned on a CSR Community Project. (2) Record dates and hours worked for each CSR worker. (3) Deliver all sign-in sheets and keys to the CSR Program Coordinator after each working day. (4) Take care of all CSR equipment and tools and advise the CSR Program Coordinator of needed supplies. (5) Ability to independently drive, back, and maneuver a trailer in various conditions is required. (6) Handle CSR worker disciplinary problems. (7) Enforce CSR rules and policies. (8) Must be able to perform tasks that involve routinely entering and exiting a vehicle. (9) Carry out the request of the CSR Agency in completion of the CSR project. (10) Inform the CSR Program Coordinator in a timely manner when there are problems or barriers to completing assigned duties and responsibilities; (11) Read and comply with all applicable CSCD Policies and Procedures; (12) Observe and maintain confidentiality of all departmental and client records according to federal, state, local and departmental regulations; (13) Adhere to the
TDCJ-CJAD
Code of Ethics; (14) Complete other tasks assigned by the CSR Program Coordinator or the Director. (15) Requires regular physical activity, including bending, lifting, and full-body movement, to fulfill position duties as job includes going up and down stairs and other physical activity movements. Pay is $18.00 per hour. Part time schedule.
