Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking an Emergency Response Food Assistance Program Manager, to join our International Projects team in South Sudan . Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Emergency Response Food Assistance Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Provides day-to-day leadership for planning, implementing, and reporting on all food-assistance programs, ensuring timely, high-quality distribution that reflects Samaritan's Purse's mission of compassionate service. Acts as the organization's representative at meetings with government officials, donors, and civil-society partners, and collaborates with the Area Coordinator and Grants Unit to craft program proposals and budgets that secure necessary funding. Oversees the program budget and expenditures while coordinating with national technical leads (WASH, Nutrition, Protection) to integrate food assistance with broader multi-sector interventions. Manages post-distribution monitoring surveys, works closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) team to evaluate impact, and conducts regular site and warehouse visits to support staff, resolve challenges, and explore future opportunities. Spends at least 20 % of time in direct contact with beneficiarieschildren, young adults, and adults at riskto promote their welfare and ensure their safety within the context of Samaritan's Purse's faith-driven operations. Other duties as assigned. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least four (4) years of relevant food assistance experience, including staff supervision, budget management, commodity accountability, and donor compliance; or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Thorough knowledge of how to organize and implement general food distributions, blanket supplementary feeding, and school feeding programs. General knowledge of basic accounting principles and development of programmatic budgets. Ability to coordinate and communicate with staff and other agencies, building strong and positive working relationships Written and verbal communication skills. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
