What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Precision Welding and Brazing Program Lead include, but are not limited to: Develop, update, and maintain curriculum aligned with industry and accreditation standards. Oversee daily program operations, ensuring qualified staffing and high-quality instruction. Prepare budget requests, manage program budgets, and handle approved purchasing of supplies and equipment. Serve as the primary point of contact for program operations, faculty, and students. Prepare accreditation documents and ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation requirements. Track and report student completion, placement, and licensure outcomes. Build and maintain strong relationships with local companies employing machinists. Plan, lead, and document annual advisory board meetings with industry partners. Grade student work and provide ongoing feedback and support. Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends. Monitor student progress and attendance; develop Student Success Plans when appropriate. Track and file student Completion and Placement reports quarterly. Your Impact Matters You'll be a key part of helping students: Master essential technical and professional skills. Successful candidates will have:
Education:
A high school diploma or the equivalent. Have a certificate or associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology from an accredited institution,
Experience:
A minimum of five years of industry experience. Teaching experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
Must be a Certified Welding Inspector, and posess all welding certifications for the subject area taught. Must be proficient in laser, cobot, and robot welding.
Industry Knowledge & Competencies:
Must have an awareness of current industry trends and tools, as well as ongoing continuing education.
Organizational Abilities:
Strong skills in time management and organization to efficiently manage program operations, student records, and instructional responsibilities. Attention to
