  • Full-time Position Announcement Utah Valley University is seeking a Youth Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of engaging youth programs and camps across multiple campus locations, including Orem, Lehi, and Wasatch (Heber).
In this role, you will design and coordinate programs based on community needs and market research, while overseeing instructor and staff management, curriculum development, and operational alignment to ensure high-quality program delivery. Working closely with the Senior Director of Community Education and the Operations team, you will help ensure programs run smoothly and effectively. This position also plays a key role in using data and technology tools to track outcomes, report on program success, and support strategic planning, revenue growth, and continuous improvement efforts. Summary of Responsibilities Initiates, develops, and schedules new programs, in a large variety of subjects, based on market research and feasibility to meet the needs and interests of the community and create profitable programs. Explores advantageous community partnerships and collaborations to improve and expand programs. Develops program budgets, fee schedules, instructor wages, and reconciles budgets to ensure profit/loss margins, and prepares necessary financial and enrollment reports. Utilizing registration and course learning management systems ensures digital materials, marketing descriptions, and all necessary information are captured to ensure successful advertisement and execution of programs. Seeks, vets, and hires qualified instructors and staff. Manages onboarding, updates, schedule changes, and other information to instructors and staff as needed. Ensures instructors and staff remain in compliance with university risk and safety trainings. Communicates and collaborates with the Operations team to make sure programs run smoothly, including but not limited to: customer/student communication, program information, logistics and updates, facilitation needs, supply lists, instructor information, and updates. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses
/ Certifications Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelors' Degree in Education, Administration, Business/Marketing, or in a closely related field AND one year of experience related to the summary of duties; OR an Associates' Degree AND three years of experience related to the summary of duties; OR any combination of education AND/OR experience related to the summary of duties totaling five years. Preferred Qualifications Graduation from an accredited institution with a Masters' Degree in Education, Administration, Business/Marketing, or a closely related field AND one year of experience related tothe summary of duties; OR a Bachelors' Degree in Education, Administration, Business/Marketing, or in a closely related field AND three years of experience related to the summary of duties; OR any combination of education AND/OR experience related to the summary of duties totaling seven years.
Knowledge / Skills
/ Abilities Knowledge Knowledge of youth community education programs, policies, and procedures. Experience in research marketing education programs. Knowledge of customer service best practices. Knowledge of program development and delivery Knowledge of project management, budgeting, and program evaluation. Skills Demonstrated skill in working effectively with and efficiently in a team-oriented environment with various institutional units to plan, implement, and evaluate marketing practices and procedures. Proficient in the use of computers and computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Creative, problem-solving, decision-making, and entrepreneurial skills. Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. Professional demeanor and communications. Abilities Ability to develop, conduct, and lead in-service trainings. Demonstrated understanding of lines of authority related to areas of responsibility, recognition of the need to coordinate activities through appropriate supervisory levels, and ability to take direction and consult with designated lines of authority. Ability to foster professional and working relationships with students, teachers, community leaders, donors, and office support staff, as well as groups with competing interests. Ability and experience in managing program budgets. Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written, with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to deal effectively with the public, instructors, and staff and to project a positive image for the University. Ability to be self-directed and proactive when accomplishing assignments. Ability to manage sensitive information in a discrete and confidential manner.
