Job Description

Overview The Program Coordinator plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the smooth operation, continuous improvement, and culture of our center. This position supports staff development, curriculum implementation, compliance monitoring, and family engagement while modeling inclusive, strengths-based leadership. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Collaborate with all Team Members to ensure a safe, healthy, positive learning environment. Ensure that systems in place for safety are implemented by all employees. Monitor and maintain children and staff paperwork required by VA state licensing, CACFP and CHEERS School Family. Conduct tours with prospective families, helping them through the enrollment process and ensuring a smooth transition into the program. Assist Associate Director with planning and conducting monthly staff meetings and Professional Development Days. Assist Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers with establishing a reliable routine and daily schedule. Assist children with personal routines, encouraging and supporting high quality interactions between Team Members and children. Maintain classroom supply inventory by gathering and purchasing supplies necessary for curriculum implementation. Maintain the center's appearance in a professional manner including a safe, clean, clutter-free center and report any needed repairs on the Center Maintenance List. Participate in Center Fundraisers, Open Houses, and other Center Events. Attend monthly staff meetings, parent meetings, center professional development days, and additional training as required. Understand STREAMIN3 and Conscious Discipline curricula and mentor Teachers to implement to fidelity. Achieve and maintain Infant Toddler and Preschool CLASS Observer certifications. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position manages site employees along with the Associate Director and other Admin as assigned. Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, onboarding, and training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and giving feedback; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
