N/A Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a HQACC Base Communications Staff Support located at Langley, AFB
VA REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Possess Secret clearance. Must be able to maintain the required clearance/eligibility. One (1) year experience working with/on higher headquarters staff. Personnel must also demonstrate ability to address/converse with and brief General Officers and Senior Civilians. Bachelor's degree in IT-related field or five (5) years' experience, ending within the last five (5) years. One (1) year experience demonstrated project management skills, ending within the last five (5) years.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide C&I systems program management, advice, recommended prioritization, and expertise for MILCON and Facility, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) for ACC/A6, DRUs, and AFIMS comm initiatives and projects. Articulate the needs of the ACC comm sqs and provide advocacy and recommendations on those projects, clearly and concisely to the ACC/A6 staff and DRUs. Evaluate, document, and brief A6 staff and direct report units on base C&I plans, initiatives, and projects and help determine impacts and shortfalls. Evaluate unfunded submissions for 3400 and 3080 Comm-Electronics/LMRs, unfunded comm rqmts and apply the ACC and AF comm risk mgt matrices to prioritize rqmts. Provide O&M Infrastructure E&I Work Plan rqmts extracted from CIPS for staff DRUs. Consolidate ACC E&I Infrastructure rqmts and initiatives for ACC Work Plan utilizing the AF E&I Framework mission impact matrix and prioritize future year O&M infrastructure rqmts for funding approval. Evaluate alternative C&I infrastructure rqmts and services to ensure operational rqmt implementation by the most cost-effective means. Provide base comm projects, initiatives, and E&I project status updates on all current and future year projects and plans. Assist with bed-down requirements in coord with staff. Validate comm E&I infrastructure requirements for 3400/3080 funds through SMEs and the AF E&I Framework. Coord with staff, agencies/ANG TFG and E&I Squadrons to id'd candidates for ANG/TFG workload and on provisioning of organic E&I services for bed down of new missions. Work closely with Base Comm Sqs, CSIs, A6 staff to implement the Comm O&M Infrastructure Work Plan and other projects/initiatives.
