Job Description

This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent serves as a Force Rotation Specialist responsible for coordinating military force rotations worldwide, including synchronizing global deployment schedules, ensuring unit readiness, and aligning capabilities with Combatant Command requirements; manages complex logistic and operational deployment needs across branches, optimizing troop movement to support Department of War mandates globally.
Qualifications:
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service: Analyzing and developing sourcing recommendations for military requirements; coordinating with Joint Staff, Combatant Commands. Service Headquarters to facilitate the development of allocation plans, such as the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP). Applying knowledge of military operational planning, force deployment, and national security policy to support joint force coordination. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
