Job Description
- Understands both the operational and maintenance issues that have to be defined and managed to ensure accomplishment of mission objectives.
- Optimizes the use of personnel, equipment, and facilities while maintaining a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to the customers' needs.
- Interfaces with the Functional Commander, Contracting Officer, internal and external customers, and higher headquarters in the execution of the task order requirements.
- Ensures that the contract/task order is executed in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the Government.
- Ultimately responsible for complying with the terms of the contract and the task order.
- Continuously interfaces and coordinates with the Quality Manager and Management Team to oversee all aspects of task order execution.
- Delegates the necessary authority to managers, leads, and mechanics/technicians/specialists for support and production to perform all contract requirements.
- Provides guidance for workforce management on matters pertaining to employee hiring, termination, transfer, evaluation, training and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for the safety and security of employees and Government facilities, equipment, classified information and material.
- Attends applicable meetings as required.
- Directs, plans, coordinates, controls, and evaluates operations and personnel.
- Supports company business development efforts as needed.
- Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner.
- Represent the company in an appropriate professional manner in terms of attire, business courtesies, ethics, and customer culture.
Additional Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in an associated discipline is mandatory. A master's degree in administration/business management is desirable.
- Thorough understanding of DOD aircraft maintenance processes required.
- Program or project management certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in an aircraft and maintenance support environment, including 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Must fully understand quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Obtain/maintain security clearance, DOD CAC privileges, and Special Access Badge requirements.
- Current valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must be willing and able to deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
- Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line.
