We partner closely with clinical providers and community organizations to ensure participants receive coordinated, compassionate care. Job Overview Join NHSS as our SUD Program Manager and help coordinate recovery services that make a real impact in the community. This role keeps our SUD programs running smoothly across ASAM 1.0, 2.1, and 2.5 levels of care—supporting participants, staff, and community partners every day. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations, schedules, staffing coverage, and program flow. Lead program outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts. Serve as the main contact for referrals; complete initial screenings. Coordinate assessments, groups, individual sessions, and follow‑up appointments. Maintain rosters, attendance logs, and accurate EHR documentation. Support treatment planning by gathering participant goals and information. Communicate professionally with participants, families, community and insurers while maintaining professional and ethical boundaries. Facilitate groups, manage CSAC team within the designated Scope of Practice for Substance Abuse Professionals using approved curricula. Act as the program's Human Rights Advocate, Mandated Reporter and Serious Incident Reporter. Coordinate housing placements and monitor housing stability. Monitor program capacity, safety, and facility needs. Assist with audits, utilization reviews, and compliance with DBHDS/Medicaid. Qualifications Active Substance Abuses Professional with the Virginia Board of Counseling (CSAC-Supervisee or higher required). Minimum 2 years facilitating ASAM IOP and PHP groups in a professional SUD setting. Behavioral health, outreach, and marketing experience, with established connections in the regional SUD provider community preferred. Strong organization, communication, and crisis‑response skills.
