Active Secret Clearance Position is contingent upon contract award. Position Overview The DCS/DDS Program Manager IMD supports NSWG-8 Intermediate Maintenance Detachment (IMD) in Little Creek, Virginia by providing program oversight, onsite coordination, and execution support for Dry Combat Submersible (DCS) and Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) efforts. This role supports management of designated programs, helps ensure technical specifications are met or exceeded, coordinates execution of program requirements, supports installation and testing of advanced submarine technology, evaluates deficiency correction and long-term sustainment of submarine and submersible systems, and provides mechanical and technical support in coordination with Government stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Assist in the management and oversight of all DCS/DDS programs . Provide onsite hands-on coordination and execution of all program-specific requirements. Assist in management of designated programs to ensure all technical specifications are met or exceeded. Assist in the installation and testing of advanced submarine technology. Evaluate deficiency correction and sustainability of submarine systems, submersible systems, and components, including U.S. Navy quality assurance programs. Provide necessary mechanical and technical support while working alongside other Government agencies on common project deliverables. Provide transition-out support when required by the Government and support a seamless transition from incumbent to incoming contractor or Government personnel at contract expiration. Operate Government vehicles and classes 1-5 forklifts, as required to carry out assigned duties. Minimum Requirements to be considered Minimum of 10 years of experience with U.S. Navy submarines or submersible platforms . Minimum of 10 years of experience with submarine mechanical and electrical systems or components . Minimum of 10 years of experience with electrical or mechanical systems . Experience with supply chain or inventory management . Experience with Naval quality assurance programs . Experience with
NAVSEA 9290
requirements . Must be able to embark upon surface support vessels in local waters to support testing . High School Diploma or equivalent plus 10 years of related experience , or BA/BS plus 6 years of related experience . Active Secret Clearance required . Prior military experience preferred .
