Salary:

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the coordination of academy sessions. Includes virtual and in-person instruction. Coordination may involve selection of cadre, course material organization, and course scheduling. Instruction may include the delivery of fire training courses and activities for DNR employees and external agencies. Maintains public and government relations by working directly with counties, rural fire districts, other agencies, MOU agencies, and fire cooperatives. Coordinate and instruct a minimum of three Work Capacity (WCT) tests and three Fireline Refreshers (RT-130) annually. This position will instruct 100 and 200-level NWCG courses regularly to state, local, and federal firefighters. This position will coordinate and instruct, at a minimum 3 Work Capacity Test (WCT) and 3 Fireline Refreshers (RT-130) annually. Coordination for these courses will include cadre selection, material preparation, and facilitate logistical needs for each event. Coordinate a statewide SimTable user group. This position will be responsible for establishing regular group meetings with the region and division staff on the use of the agency's SimTable platform. This platform requires continued use and attention to maintain the software and proficiency in its use. This position will work to become one of the Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the agency's SimTables.
Required Qualifications:
You must meet all the Required Qualifications and Competencies to be considered for this position. There are multiple pathways to meet qualifications, such as education, volunteer work, life skills, and experience. It is important that you clearly communicate in your application material that your skills align with the position and qualifications. Minimum 2 years' experience working in a Wildfire or Emergency Management program. NWCG qualified at Single resource boss level, or equivalent National Incident Management System (NIMS) qualification. Experience coordinating wildland fire training. Proficient in computer skills using MS Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

ICT4 OR TFLD
(Incident Commander Type 4/Task Force Leader). Possess a current NWCG qualification at any Unit Leader level. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or higher in a natural resources or related field. Skills and experience working with inter-agency fire cooperators. Working knowledge of project, event management, and/or simulation software. Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize among competing tasks and priorities.
