Job Title:
Program Manager Job Description This Program Manager role coordinates and drives the successful completion of complex projects and programs within a high-profile manufacturing and aerospace environment. The position oversees all aspects of assigned initiatives, from planning and scheduling through execution and reporting, while partnering closely with engineering and manufacturing teams on the production floor. The Program Manager sets clear deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors progress, and prepares concise status reports for senior leadership. The role relies on extensive project management experience, sound judgment, and a high degree of creativity and ownership to accomplish ambitious goals in a fast-paced production setting. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of projects and programs, from initial planning through execution, delivery, and closure. Set project and program deadlines, define milestones, and establish clear timelines that align with production and business objectives. Assign responsibilities and tasks to project team members, ensuring clarity of ownership and alignment with skill sets and priorities. Monitor and track project and program progress, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Prepare and deliver regular status reports and dashboards for upper management, summarizing progress, risks, and key performance indicators. Oversee all aspects of projects in a production environment, ensuring alignment between manufacturing operations and engineering requirements. Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering and broader engineering teams to support production readiness, process improvements, and issue resolution. Design, maintain, and interpret dashboards and other reporting tools to provide visibility into project health and operational performance. Lead and direct the work of others, providing guidance, coaching, and support to cross-functional team members involved in project execution. Use experience, judgment, and creativity to solve complex problems, remove obstacles, and keep projects on track under tight deadlines. Ensure that project and program activities adhere to established processes, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing and aerospace context. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including production teams and senior management, to align expectations and decisions. Perform a variety of project-related tasks as needed, adapting to evolving priorities in a dynamic production environment. Essential Skills Proven project management experience, with responsibility for coordinating and completing projects or programs from start to finish. 2-7 years of experience in project management, program management, or a related field. Experience working in manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of production operations. Background or exposure to manufacturing engineering and its integration with project and program delivery. Experience in aerospace or closely related industries, with familiarity with industry-specific practices and standards. Ability to design, develop, and use dashboards and reporting tools to track project status and performance metrics. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight timelines. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others in a cross-functional setting. Comfort working on the manufacturing floor and collaborating directly with engineering and production teams. Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to project and program management. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a project manager in high-profile or large-scale programs. Experience designing and maintaining dashboards that support decision-making for leadership. Demonstrated creativity and latitude in problem-solving within complex operational settings. Experience reporting to and partnering with senior leadership or heads of units/departments. Ability to thrive in a production environment with evolving priorities and high visibility. Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex project information clearly for diverse stakeholders. Work Environment This role is fully onsite in a production environment within the manufacturing and aerospace domain. You will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor working directly with engineering and production teams, supporting live operations and active builds. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with high visibility and expectations for precision, reliability, and continuous coordination between engineering and manufacturing. You can expect to use dashboards and reporting tools regularly to communicate status and performance to leadership. The setting emphasizes collaboration, hands-on engagement with production activities, and adaptability to shifting priorities as projects progress. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $51.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
