Job Description

Overview The Summit at Snoqualmie is the Pacific Northwest's premier multi mountain ski resort, located 47 miles east of Seattle at Snoqualmie Pass. The property spans five base areas and 20 chairlifts across Summit West, Summit Central, Summit East, and Alpental within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. A four-season operating model includes a mountain bike park and one of the most accessible ski destinations in North America. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Long Term Thinking Support the development, preparation, and implementation of employee housing emergency plans in coordination with Summit Security and the Snoqualmie Pass Fire Department. Identify recurring resident, housing, or operational needs and communicate opportunities to improve the J-1 and employee housing experience. Excellence in Execution Prepare employee housing for resident arrivals, including completing inventory checks, stocking linens and kitchen supplies, arranging furniture, and ensuring rooms are move-in ready. Conduct resident move-ins, ensuring required documentation is completed accurately and housing rules, policies, and procedures are clearly communicated. Coordinate with Building Maintenance to address maintenance, facility, and safety needs. Assist with seasonal room inspections and follow up on identified concerns. Manage room key assignments, replacements, and related records. Distribute housing notices, communications, and other important information to residents. Assist with snow removal around employee housing entrances and access areas as needed. Attitude is Everything Approach resident questions, conflicts, and concerns with professionalism, patience, and a solution-oriented mindset. Remain flexible and responsive during changing operational conditions and emergency situations, including power outages, severe weather, and road closures. Adapt to evolving resident and operational needs and perform other duties as assigned. Develop Great People Help residents understand housing expectations, policies, procedures, responsibilities, and available resources so they can successfully navigate community living. Support J-1 participants as they adjust to living and working at The Summit and becoming part of the local community. Encourage resident independence by providing guidance and resources that help participants successfully navigate day-to-day needs Serve First Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted resource for employee housing residents, responding to questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and supportive manner. Field phone, email, and walk-in inquiries related to employee housing and resident needs. Escalate resident behavior, safety, or other significant concerns to the VP of HR and Security Manager and assist with appropriate incident documentation. Provide residents with timely information, resources, and support during emergency situations. Support J-1 participants with essential transition needs, including obtaining Social Security numbers, opening bank accounts, and accessing local resources and services. Coordinate and provide transportation for essential errands, appointments, grocery shopping, and other participant needs. Plan and facilitate cultural exchange opportunities, recreational activities, and community outings, including trips on participants' scheduled days off. Qualifications Qualifications Must be willing to work weekends and evenings Basic computer knowledge, MS Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential material. Must have the ability to communicate and relate effectively with a very diverse group of team members. Spanish language skills are preferred but not required. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Additional skills in basic building maintenance, construction and/or plumbing considered a plus. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. This includes moving furniture, setting up of housing operation, snow removal, maintenance duties and repairs, and keeping the office and housing neat, clean, and organized. Work Environment The International Progreams Coordinator is primarily an indoor clerical position, but there are times when the individual will be required to work outside in the winter elements and travel between base locations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
