Variable Position Summary The Residency Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Resident and Fellow Medical Education including managing the elements of Medical Residents, Medical Fellows and Medical Students within MultiCare, education affiliation contracts, as well as designated aspects of monitoring and reporting on program funding. Other primary responsibilities are to be a single point of contact for GME services at the residencies, act as a representative of the residencies within MHS, with national academic accrediting agencies (ACGME), and with state, county and federal agencies. This position operates under limited supervision and supports the Residency and Fellowship Programs, the Program Director and Director of Residency Operations. Work situations are varied with an emphasis on customer relations and communication, exceptional attention to detail, organization, prioritization, flexibility and creativity. Decisions are made in collaboration with the Director of Residency Operations, Program Directors, and the GME Advisory Board. This position has extensive contact with physicians, staff, and management. External contacts require professional interactions with outside agencies and schools. Requirements Post high school course work or BA degree in public relations, communications, education, marketing or related area, preferred TAGME Certification preferred Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a position with a high degree of records management and customer relations required About Deaconess Hospital Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region.
