The Peer Mentor Program Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a peer mentoring program aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities in identifying and building the independent life they desire. Peer mentoring is support from other people with disabilities who have lived experience using systems of support. This role involves recruitment and training of peer mentors, coordinating mentoring activities, and evaluating the program's effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive peer mentoring program that aligns with our institution's goals, including creating training materials and resources for mentors and mentees.
Recruitment and Training:
Recruit, screen, and train peer mentors, equipping them with essential skills in communication, leadership, and conflict resolution.
Mentor-Mentee Matching:
Facilitate effective pairings between mentors and mentees based on shared interests and goals, ensuring optimal support for participants.
Program Coordination:
Organize mentoring activities, workshops, and community-building events, while maintaining regular communication to offer guidance and support.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Develop assessment tools to evaluate program effectiveness, collecting and analyzing participant feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various departments and external organizations to enhance the program's visibility and impact.
Reporting:
Prepare insightful reports and presentations on program activities and outcomes to inform stakeholders and guide future enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field Two years of experience in human services. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to work collaboratively with diverse groups. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to maintain confidentiality. Flexible schedule and access to reliable transportation. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
