Our staff works diligently to meet the needs of our clients and to continuously grow and preserve affordable housing for our nation's most vulnerable populations. The CVR team is composed of CPAs, MBAs, attorneys, architects, engineers, urban planners, and housing professionals. We continue to expand, adding to our team across the nation. CVR has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, San Francisco and Tampa, to name a few. We are seeking a full-time Waiting List Specialist to support the day-to-day management of Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists and related program operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, and passionate about delivering excellent service while navigating a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of waiting lists, coordinating updates and purges, supporting applicants and property owners, and ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and program requirements. You'll also collaborate closely with internal departments, management, and IT to support operational efficiency and process improvements. This position reports to the Admissions Supervisor. What You'll Do Manage and maintain Housing Choice Voucher and PBV waiting lists Coordinate activities related to opening, closing, updating, and purging waiting lists Serve as a point of contact for applicants, property owners, and general waiting list inquiries Enter and update applicant information in the system with a high level of accuracy Review HUD notices and Federal Register updates and communicate operational impacts as needed Assist with policy and procedure development and updates Prepare weekly and monthly reports Coordinate SharePoint access and related activities with IT and management Communicate program rules and requirements clearly and professionally Support additional operational and administrative duties as assigned What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously Skilled at problem-solving and critical thinking Able to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders Collaborative, adaptable, and service-focused Comfortable using Microsoft Office and related systems and technology Preferred Qualifications Two years of college coursework in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience Knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher Program requirements, policies, and procedures preferred Experience in housing, program administration, customer service, or compliance-related work is a plus Training and Development We believe in supporting employee growth and development.
The selected candidate will:
