Youth Program Specialist Job Description Job Type:
Part-time OR Seasonal Pay:

  • 36 per week Our Club is looking for energetic, fun, and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time Youth Program Specialists after school and during the summer !
Candidates should be ready to take an active role in creating a supportive and fun atmosphere inside the Club by building positive relationships with our members, facilitating daily activities, and ensuring an optimal Club experience for all. After-School Hours (September
  • June): Monday
  • Friday, 2PM
  • 7PM Summer Hours (June
  • August): Monday
  • Friday; Shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM based on program needs.
Position Purpose/Primary Function:
Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities. Provide positive interaction throughout Club environment and ensures Club Members are supervised at all times.
KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities): Prepare Youth for Success Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Promote and stimulate program participation. Provide program guidance and role modeling to members. Create a high impact learning environment by maintaining a positive attitude with youth, staff, and community. Build trusting, supportive relationships with youth by using trauma-informed approaches that prioritize emotional safety, consistency, and empowerment. Program Development and Implementation Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for members and visitors. Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the organization at all times. Submit daily activity reports/sign-in sheets and incident reports, prepare program and activity plans. Supervision Ensures positive youth experiences by coaching, mentoring, and developing members experiences with the Club. Capable of maintaining positive and productive work in a high-energy environment. Recognize and respond to signs of trauma by maintaining a calm, empathetic presence, using de-escalation strategies, and collaborating with team members to create a predictable, nurturing environment. Self-Development Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings. Actively seek opportunities for professional growth through training, feedback, and reflection to continuously improve youth engagement and program delivery. Demonstrate a commitment to personal development by staying informed on best practices in youth development, trauma-informed care, and social-emotional learning.
