JOB TITLE
University of Wyoming Extension Summer Internship
JOB PURPOSE
University of Wyoming Extension is offering part-time summer internship opportunities for individuals interested in working with Extension programs across the state.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and promote UW Extension projects and events through event assistance, outreach, and general program support.
POSTION DETAILS
Pay:
$15/hour
Hours:
Up to 19 hours per week
Duration:
12 weeks (May 26 - August 16, 2026)
Eligibility:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Educational Award:
$2,500 upon successful completion of the internship Interns are responsible for securing their own housing for the summer. Selected candidates must successfully complete a University of Wyoming background and motor vehicle check as a condition of employment. Interns also have the option to enroll in 1-4 academic credits through the University of Wyoming during the internship. Please note that interns are responsible for any associated tuition costs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP and a willingness to drive to and from program locations and events
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Interest in exploring a career in Extension Experience working with youth and community members Highly dependable and organized Strong communication skills

UW Extension Office:
This position provides vital support to Extension programming and must be available to work at a selected UW Extension Office assigned to the internship.
