Education & Program Coordinator Washakie County Conservation District Worland, Wyoming Job Type Permanent
Salary Dependent upon experience, starts at $18/hr

Min. Experience 2 - 4 years Washakie County Conservation District is currently accepting applications for an enthusiastic, passionate, and self-motivated Educator to inspire and teach our community and youth about natural resources and agriculture through a variety of mediums. The Education & Program Coordinator organizes and presents conservation education programs, classroom and outdoor activities, workshops, and adult educational programming. This could include scheduling and arranging tours, field days, community displays, social media content development, in-person and virtual workshops, and demonstrations or meetings for groups interested in natural resources conservation. Topics may include, but are not limited to water quality, wildlife, vegetation, recycling, irrigation water management, soil moisture technology, range management, soils, weeds, composting, tree planting, pollination, energy, and bats. This position is a non-exempt, full or part-time, at-will position. The Education & Program Coordinator is an employee of and is responsible to the Washakie County Conservation District (WCCD) Board of Supervisors to achieve common goals and objectives of the district. Pay is dependent upon experience. Knowledge of agricultural practices and/or natural resource experience through education and/or work is preferred.
Communication, organizational and time management skills, focus driven, ability to multi-task and work independently.
Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication and public speaking skills in small and large settings. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with several agencies.
Ability to work in a standard office setting, as well as an outdoor field environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Google Drive, teleconferencing platforms, and cloud-based services. Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment including computers and audio-visual equipment. Experience in ARCGIS a plus.
Willingness to learn and advance education through training seminars, workshops, and meetings.
For job related travel, the ability to be away from home occasionally, possibly overnight, and for longer than normal workdays.
Certified or interest in obtaining certification in AG Education, Project Learning Tree, Project Wet, Project Wild, or other education development.
Proficient in English (oral and written), and ability to prepare written reports and grant proposals, when applicable.
Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record, and pass background check.
