Job Description

Rogers & WillardProject ManagerOverview At Rogers & Willard, we build more than buildings—we build relationships, leaders, community, and impact. We are a team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining a collaborative, value-driven culture. Guided by our core values—People Matter Most, Do Whatever It Takes, Relentless Progress, and Do the Right Thing—the Project Manager plays a central role in delivering successful projects and exceptional client experiences. Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for leading construction projects from contract award through closeout, with overall accountability for cost, schedule, quality, documentation, risk management, and client communication. This role partners closely with Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Field Engineers, subcontractors, and internal support teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contract requirements and company standards. The Project Manager serves as a primary point of coordination between the office and the field, balancing financial stewardship, schedule control, and relationship management throughout the life of each project. Manage change orders, including pricing, documentation, negotiation, and execution. Monitor margin performance and take corrective action when variances arise. Ensure sequencing supports efficient field execution and contractual milestones. Identify potential schedule risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Communicate schedule impacts and recovery plans to stakeholders as needed. Preconstruction Support Provide input on scheduling, logistics, constructability, staffing, procurement, contracts, clients, and project execution when assigned by Preconstruction or the Vice President of Operations. Review major general conditions, long-lead items, schedule assumptions, owner requirements, and unusual risks before final pricing when requested. Support project pursuits without taking control of the estimate or making unauthorized commitments to clients. Client and Stakeholder Management Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants. Lead project meetings and maintain clear, proactive communication. Manage expectations and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner. Protect and strengthen long-term client relationships. Risk Management Identify contractual, financial, scheduling, and operational risks throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, insurance provisions, and company policies. Partner with Superintendents to support safety planning and risk mitigation. Escalate issues appropriately to Operations leadership. Project Documentation and Controls Oversee RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, pay applications, contracts, and closeout documentation. Ensure consistent and disciplined use of Procore and company systems. Maintain accurate, timely project records to support billing, audits, and claims avoidance. Team Leadership and Coordination Lead and coordinate the project team, including Assistant Project Managers and Field Engineers. Work closely with Superintendents to align office planning with field execution. Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to project team members. Model Rogers & Willard's core values in daily leadership and decision-making. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
