Job Description At Olsson, our Construction Materials Testing team does more than test concrete, asphalt, and soil. We help ensure the success of the infrastructure, commercial, and community projects that shape where people live, work, and thrive. We're looking for a driven Project Manager who enjoys leading teams, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality projects from start to finish. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, collaborate with industry experts, and play a key role in growing both our clients' success and our team. As a Project Manager I, you'll serve as a trusted partner to clients while leading construction materials testing projects through every stage of delivery. You'll manage project performance, support business development efforts, mentor team members, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality. Responsibilities Lead construction materials testing projects from planning through successful completion. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders. Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver quality results. Oversee field and laboratory testing activities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track. Mentor and develop team members, helping them grow both technically and professionally. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and practical solutions. Support business development efforts by providing exceptional client service and identifying opportunities for future work. You bring to the team:
Strong communication skills. Ability to contribute and work well on a team. Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferred. A minimum of eight years of project experience within an applicable field or discipline with increasing responsibility. Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through project management activities. Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills. Solid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problems. A high-level of organization, leadership, and negotiation skills. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
