As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Management Team Manager to lead our Project Management Department and help build the next generation of project leaders. Position Summary The Project Management Team Manager is responsible for leading and developing our team of Project Managers while providing executive oversight of multiple EPC projects from contract award through final completion. This position is ideal for a proven leader who enjoys coaching others, improving business processes, solving complex project challenges, and driving organizational success. Rather than managing only one project, this role focuses on ensuring every project is executed consistently, profitably, and with exceptional client service. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, engineering, procurement, construction, and accounting to ensure Fusion continues delivering industry-leading projects. What You'll Do Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. Establish departmental goals, standards, and performance expectations. Conduct weekly project management meetings. Perform performance evaluations and career development planning. Recruit, interview, and onboard new project managers. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Project Oversight Provide executive oversight for all active projects by monitoring: Project schedules Budget performance Client satisfaction Risk management Procurement progress Engineering deliverables Construction readiness Change order management Project profitability Identify issues early and provide leadership to keep projects on track.
Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate daily with:
Engineering Managers Procurement Team Construction Management Accounting Executive Leadership Ensure all departments remain aligned on project priorities, staffing, procurement, schedules, and client commitments. Client Relationships Serve as the executive point of contact for project management activities by: Building long-term client relationships Leading executive project reviews Managing escalated issues Negotiating scope changes Ensuring exceptional client satisfaction Process Improvement Lead the continuous improvement of project execution by developing standardized processes for: Project kickoff Scheduling Procurement tracking Risk management Cost forecasting Change management Lessons learned Project closeout Implement best practices that improve efficiency, consistency, and profitability across the organization. Resource Planning Work with Engineering Leadership to: Forecast staffing requirements Balance project workloads Identify resource constraints Support hiring decisions Improve project forecasting Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field 10+ years of project management experience within EPC, utility, power, industrial, or heavy construction industries 5+ years leading project teams or managing Project Managers Strong financial, contractual, and schedule management experience Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Preferred Experience with electrical substations or utility infrastructure EPC project experience PMP Certification Microsoft Project experience ACC or project management software experience Success in This Role Within your first year, you will: Build a high-performing project management organization Improve schedule predictability across all projects Increase project profitability through proactive management Develop standardized project execution procedures Strengthen collaboration between Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Mentor Project Managers into future organizational leaders What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who naturally leads others, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced EPC environment. Pay:
$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
