The Opportunity The Local Education Agency (LEA) Project Manager is responsible for implementing the AWARE Arizona Project in Navajo County; implementing all activities on the implementation plan; spearheading local partnerships with LEAs and stakeholders; developing MOUs with county-specific Tier 2 and Tier 3 Providers; identifying and connecting youth, families and faculty to local community resources; convening the local SPF coalition; and collecting program evaluation data. LEAs are considered public school districts and other eligible public education authorities, along with the schools operating within those systems. The LEA Project Manager collaborates closely with Peer Prevention Specialists to serve Navajo County. This position serves communities throughout Navajo County, including Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside, Holbrook, Winslow, Snowflake, Taylor, and Kayenta. Holbrook is the county seat. Candidates should be comfortable traveling throughout the county to support LEAs, youth, families, faculty, providers, and community partners. What You'll Do AWARE Arizona Project Implementation Implement the AWARE Arizona Project in Navajo County. Implement all activities on the implementation plan. Collaborate closely with Peer Prevention Specialists to serve the assigned County. Community Partnerships & Resource Connection Spearhead local partnerships with LEAs and stakeholders. Develop MOUs with county-specific Tier 2 and Tier 3 Providers. Identify and connect youth, families and faculty to local community resources. Coalition & Evaluation Convene the local SPF coalition. Collect program evaluation data. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in a health and human service-related field preferred. Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred but available to be completed upon hire. Project management certification preferred. Minimum two-years' experience in behavioral health and/or substance use programs. Experience with Salesforce or another CRM and Microsoft Office/Google productivity tools preferred Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Valid Arizona Driver's License, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region and other service areas as needed. CPR/First Aid certified (training provided upon hire). Negative TB Screening upon hire or within the past 12 months. Supervisory Relationships Does not supervise others.
Skills & Knowledge Required Community Partnership:
Ability to spearhead local partnerships with LEAs, Tribal LEAs, and stakeholders and to develop MOUs with county-specific Tier 2 and Tier 3 providers.
Coalition Facilitation:
Skill in convening and sustaining a local SPF coalition and mobilizing community members around shared prevention goals.
Peer Support Practice:
Certified Peer Support Specialist competency in connecting youth, families, and faculty to local community resources.
Program Implementation:
Ability to execute all activities on the implementation plan on schedule within an assigned priority county.
Data Collection:
Working knowledge of program evaluation and the accurate collection and reporting of performance measurement data.
Cultural Responsiveness:
Understanding of rural, frontier, and Tribal community needs and the ability to deliver services that are culturally responsive. Travel & Other Requirements Local travel within Navajo County 50% of the time. No other special conditions nor requirements.
Salary Salary Range:
