General Summary:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Geotechnical team. The ideal candidate will have their Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, a strong foundation in geotechnical principles and/or construction materials testing, and proven experience managing projects from conception to completion. This role will involve both technical and managerial responsibilities, with an emphasis on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow safety rules and standards for all projects. Engineering professional with responsibility for managinga small staff, interacting withclientsand delivering weekly reports related to materials testing and special inspections (per the IBC). Independently perform a variety of projects or selected segments of larger projects. Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations, adaptations, and modifications. Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity. Perform quality control review of proposals written by others. Evaluate laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports. Participate in marketing, sales, and business development.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty proficiently. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, ora relatedfield. Engineer in Training (EIT) certificationrequired. Minimum3-5years of geotechnical, materials testingor construction engineering experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in relevant software (e.g., MS Office Suite,gInt, or AutoCAD). Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
