Job Summary
NUCLEAR PROJECT MANAGER
Lead High-Impact Projects. Shape the Future of Nuclear Energy. G.D. Barri & Associates is looking for an experienced Nuclear Project Manager to join one of the nation's largest nuclear power facilities and play a key role in major engineering and modernization initiatives. This is more than a project management position—it's an opportunity to lead complex projects that directly support the reliability, modernization, and long-term performance of a critical nuclear facility.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Nuclear Project Manager, you will lead complex, multi-departmental engineering projects from concept and initiation through execution and closeout . You will work with engineering, operations, procurement, construction, and other key stakeholders to keep major projects moving safely, efficiently, and successfully. Project budgets typically range from $2 million to $40 million, giving you the opportunity to manage projects with significant scope, visibility, and impact. You will also support the facility's Strategic Modernization Program (SMP) , focused on addressing obsolescence within the plant's Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead projects through the complete project life cycle—from initiation through final closeout. Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, risks, and key milestones. Identify challenges early and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track. Manage projects with budgets typically ranging from $2M-$40M. Support procurement activities, including the development and execution of RFI,RFQ, and RFP processes.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required:
PMP Certification Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 5-8+ years of Project Management experience Experience managing complex, high-value engineering, construction, utility, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of project life-cycle management, budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and risk management. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with senior leadership.
Preferred:
Nuclear power plant experience Utility industry experience Experience with engineering modernization or large-scale capital projects Experience supporting Instrumentation & Controls (I&C)projects
