Job Description:

Assistant Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer - Water & Wastewater Construction We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will play a key role in managing project execution from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with project managers, superintendents, owners, engineers, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have experience on self-perform water/wastewater treatment plant projects including concrete structures, underground utilities, process mechanical piping, and equipment installation. Responsibilities Support overall project execution including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontract management, and client coordination Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation Assist with project cost tracking, forecasting, and monthly reporting Coordinate with field teams to ensure work is progressing safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents Work closely with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and construction issues Help manage procurement and delivery of long-lead process equipment and materials Participate in project planning, sequencing, and scheduling efforts Support quality control, commissioning, and project closeout activities Mentor junior engineers and help drive project team performance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 4+ years of experience for Senior Project Engineer candidates 6+ years of experience for Assistant Project Manager candidates Strong background in water/wastewater treatment plant construction preferred Experience with self-perform concrete, piping, mechanical, or underground utility scopes Knowledge of scheduling software, cost control, and project management systems Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment Preferred Experience Water Treatment Plants (WTP) Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) Pump Stations CMAR and Design-Build delivery methods Process mechanical piping and equipment installation Public works and municipal infrastructure projects Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Bonus opportunities Vehicle allowance or company vehicle Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) with company match Long-term growth opportunities within a leading water infrastructure contractor
