Job Description
Description We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex technical programs that support mission-critical operations in the defense manufacturing sector. Based in Southern California, this role partners with engineering, cybersecurity, support, and business teams to turn requirements into measurable delivery outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong program leadership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to keep highly regulated initiatives on track from planning through implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure-focused programs from initial scoping and requirement alignment through execution, deployment, and final delivery.
- Act as the central point of coordination between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes remain aligned.
- Build and maintain detailed project roadmaps, dependency plans, schedules, and resource approaches to support successful delivery across concurrent initiatives.
- Communicate program progress through clear reporting, translating technical developments, risks, and milestones into updates appropriate for both delivery teams and executive audiences.
- Identify potential delivery, operational, and technical risks early, establish mitigation strategies, and drive issue resolution before they affect program objectives.
- Foster collaboration across engineering, cyber assurance, support, and other partner groups to maintain momentum and shared accountability.
- Apply technical understanding of enterprise and network infrastructure to support sound decisions related to architecture, implementation, and operational readiness.
- Improve program execution by refining workflows, governance practices, and delivery standards that increase efficiency and consistency.
- Support initiatives involving secure environments and infrastructure changes, including activities related to accreditation and regulated operational requirements. Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in project or program management, or in a comparable leadership role overseeing technical initiatives.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex solutions within highly regulated settings.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure delivery, including areas such as data center infrastructure, network infrastructure, enterprise infrastructure, and structured cabling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in clear business terms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence cross-functional teams, and maintain ownership in fast-moving environments.
- Willingness to travel as needed; agile or project management certifications are considered an advantage.
