Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Senior Project Manager specializing in Heavy Civil construction to lead complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance. Your leadership will drive project teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of construction management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage large-scale civil projects that shape communities and infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects, including roads, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure. Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to ensure timely delivery. Manage project budgets through construction estimating and cost management tools like HeavyBid or equivalent software. Oversee construction plans, schematics, and blueprints; ensure compliance with all construction regulations and safety standards. Coordinate construction scheduling and site activities to optimize productivity while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Supervise project teams, including subcontractors and on-site personnel, fostering effective communication and teamwork. Monitor project progress through regular site visits, managing project scope changes, and resolving issues promptly. Ensure regulatory compliance by adhering to local, state, and federal construction laws and environmental regulations. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office to track progress, manage documentation, and prepare reports. Oversee contract administration including review of contracts, change orders, and claims resolution. Maintain a focus on quality control by reviewing construction plans and schematics for accuracy and completeness. Drive project leadership by managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring project milestones are achieved efficiently. Experience Proven experience managing large-scale heavy civil or infrastructure projects with a strong track record of successful delivery. Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Primavera P3; experience with Schematics is a plus. Strong background in construction estimating, cost management, and budget control within the heavy civil sector. Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a construction management role with excellent leadership skills. Hands-on construction site experience with a thorough understanding of construction plans and blueprints reading. Familiarity with construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and environmental compliance requirements. Proficiency in project management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid; advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite are essential. Knowledge of managing complex infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholders and tight schedules. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
