Job Description

Project Manager Fullerton, CA 92831 Full-time Full-time Summary We are currently representing a long-standing General Contractor with over five decades of experience delivering high-impact infrastructure for communities across California. Known for building essential facilities such as hospitals, schools, libraries, civic centers, and public safety buildings, this firm continues to expand its presence throughout the state. They are currently seeking experienced Project Managers to lead a growing portfolio of K-14 school projects, including new construction, modernizations, and renovations. A significant portion of upcoming work is with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Candidates with previous LAUSD project experience will be given strong consideration due to the immediate needs of the client and the long-term pipeline with the district. Public Works and Municipal experience is also valuable. Responsibilities Manage multiple active K-14 education projects, including those awarded through LAUSD and other school districts Oversee all project phases from preconstruction through closeout Handle preconstruction tasks such as constructability reviews, value engineering, estimating, contract negotiations, and budget forecasting Lead construction phase operations including staffing, subcontractor management, scheduling, risk mitigation, change orders, and QA/QC Coordinate project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and financial reporting Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality expectations Support a workplace culture that promotes health, collaboration, and employee well-being Qualifications Proven experience managing K-14, Public Works, or Municipal construction projects Previous experience with LAUSD is highly preferred and strongly encouraged Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Skilled in preconstruction planning, contract management, and financial oversight Proficient in construction project management platforms and Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Compensation + Benefits Competitive industry salary based on experience Bonus incentive plan tied to project and individual performance Employer-paid medical insurance premiums Reimbursement available for dental and vision plans Option to receive a payout if covered under outside insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for medical and personal costs Long-term disability insurance Paid sick leave, holidays, and vacation time Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) with company match
